DO IT!!!!! ADD THE FEATURED CHARACTER THAT IS EPIC!! Sprinklemist, I have a feeling you will be the next one to become admin if we need a fifth... --Nalyd Renrut - Legendary Snipe! FIRE EVERYWHERE! 17:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm an uber-cool dude! I hope that's a complement... Thank you, Nalyd!
I want to explain something here: I don't want to vote for anyone this month, because it's almost half over. I wouldn't mind winning this month, because I already had my story featured, and I feel like I already have a lot of attention. So a short month as featured author is perfectly fine for me, but I want others to have a full month. Does that make any sense? >_< SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 17:35, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, wait, I guess it should be SEPTEMBER's featured everything, not August... at the end of the month we feature it for a month while voting for the next month goes on... heh... whoops... ^^; Sunshine + Ravioli 22:22, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
I'll have to discuss it with Nalyd so he can teach me how to do the featured image and character, but I'll go ahead and add the featured Author/Story now. Fadingsilverstar16 15:50, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
Less mainspace edits required?
I think the 150 mainspace edits thing is a bit harsh for this wiki. I mean, if you're someone who doesn't want to write a fanfic, which is required for the 150 mainspace edits, but likes to read and comment on stories instead, you should have a say in this featured author, or story, or character, matter. Maybe it should be, 150 edits total, or, 200 edits total, instead of 150 mainspace edits. Anyone agree? --^_^ : P XD AWESOME!! 20:24, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
I do agree here. Since people are only supposed to edit their own pages, this makes it very difficult for some users to express their opinion on some of these featured voting pages. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 20:28, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
Wait, do you mean 300 talk edits and/or 150 mainspace edits? That sounds reasonable. And I'll bet Redflare'll reject this just like with every other idea I ever had for something major on this wiki. Just wait... <_< --^_^ : P XD AWESOME!! 21:22, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
And I have another proposition for the featured forums that can help make things less complicated in the case of a tie. The proposition is: In the case of a tie between two or more candidates, all oppose votes for the tied candidates are deleted, so the one with more support votes wins! This can make things simpler in the future... --DJ Spenstar! 00:45, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Maybe instead of having a certain number of edits to vote, a user can appeal to an admin to be able to vote.- The Anonymous User 01:43, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
I think the only requirement for voting should be that you have been an active member of the wiki for at least a month and a half. Skipper Dan's trapped in the drive-thru HE'LL SUE YA! 01:59, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Like in the Featured Story section, have a bunch of votes just been eliminated? O__o --CamperThirteen 01:03, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I just realized that XD. I support that motion anyway, so count me in. --CamperThirteen 01:12, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

What's the point of the "users can nominate themselves" rule if people take that vote down? It makes no sense. -User:KoopaKidJr.
I jst though of what would be good finl decision what about 300 total edits at least 100 have to be none Blog/User talk. This means talk, forum, mainspace, user, and so forth.--Redflare - Legendary Copying NALYD! (Insert words here) EVERYWHERE! 00:19, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
I guess, I really don't understand. I thought I had 150 mainspace edits. --Goldenshane 00:24, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
oh, if that includes the characters then I should be able to vote in no time!--Goldenshane 00:32, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Yes! At the end of the month, I should be able to vote! --Goldenshane 00:35, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
What a sec. This is my last question. How do know how many mainspace edits we have? --Goldenshane 21:45, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Really, the mainspace edits thing is unfair. There are millions of readers out there, and the only rule should be that you should be a veteran here and not been blocked for vandalizing at all. Say, TAU for instance. With the rule change he would be able to vote in a month or so, but since he doesn't plan to write any fanfics and is just a big reader and commenter, with this rule he would NEVER be allowed to vote! That is not fair. I HATE

If you care about someone's work, why keep it hidden? Comments make the author of the story in question feel good, so I comment. That's also why I joined the review team! --DJ Spenstar! 21:14, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
I try to do the same, but it was pretty exhausting to do all by myself. XD I'm glad you joined the review team (I'm just afraid you'll give TD:BI a score lower than what I think it deserves [my sweet, sweet masterpiece XD]), so now I think more will get done. I finally added the Blonde Date review, and the LAL one to the sidebar. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 21:22, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
I'll try to review mainly non-competition fics. I'm not sure if competition fics should be reviewed differently, or not... TD: BI would get a score in the 9 range from me. Simply because LAL stands in a league by itself, LOL. --DJ Spenstar! 21:28, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
That's why I don't want you to review it. XD Some people like it better than you did. I don't know how the competition fics should be reviewed. It would be really hard to review them chapter by chapter, but in my eyes, that's the only way they could be reviewed. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 21:30, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
By 9 range, I mean like, a 9.5 or a 9.75. XD You're probably right about the chapter-by-chapter part. Reviewing TD:BI or a similar story all at once would be nearly impossible. XD --DJ Spenstar! 21:34, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

It's a nice sentiment, Jkl (if you're trying to do what I think you're trying to do), but it won't fly. If the voting ends in a tie, someone who hasn't voted will be asked to break the tie. Only one Feature winner of each type is allowed per month. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! A wandering minstrel, I-- 20:24, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
