I love that he's protecting caterpillar rights, but that's hilarious! XD If you've ever heard of tomato worms, they turn into sphinx moths, and when those fly around people often mistake them for hummingbirds. They can hover just the same as hummingbirds, and their long tongues drinking out of the fluted flowers look just like little beaks. They're only about an inch-and-a-half long as moths, so it's hard to distinguish characteristics. They fertilize the flowers same as butterflies and hummingbirds. Thought: maybe River can use this as an example sometime for why we should save caterpillars. :D JustLittleOlMe 17:28, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

XD I like his caterplilar rights too! It's actually gonna become a bigger part of his story next competition chapter. I didn't know about tomato worms but I would love for Cosmic River to use them as an example :D Oh, come on. I bought KFC. It pretends to be southern, you pretend to be southern. Don't go there! 03:12, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Please do! You really know how to 'flesh out' your characters, and I can't wait to read the next competition chapter. (:-D)

People don't much like tomato worms, so they get sprayed with pesticides. As an aside, I have relatives in Ohio, Illinois and Michigan, and as a kid I'd see fireflies (lightning bugs) everywhere when I visited. I went out this summer, and there weren't all that many to be seen. One of my relatives suspects the spraying of crops for all sorts of pests is killing all the good bugs, too. ;( Some folks (news media) have wondered if pesticides are why the honeybee is disappearing. :o JustLittleOlMe Lil Jay JLOM Mrs. Gideon 19:14, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
