These are rankings for Freefalling Lilacs' story, Total Drama Island: For Your Entertainment. Possibly the greatest story on this site. Not enough good can be said about it, and it only gets better as it goes on. I decided ten chapters in was a good place to rank the contestants, and seriously, might not want to read if you haven't read 'em all yet, 'cause yeah, spoilers be here. The characters are wonderful, as well as the plots going on, and just how it's all handled in such an outstanding way... but now to rank the twenty-two contestants!

22: Josh. I guess he was a decent one-joke character. Not a whole lot to him, really. Nothing really to dislike... just not much, period.

21: Eric. Ah, Eric and his rock collection. Eric and his obsessive behavior over his rocks collection. Eric... and rocks... and... don't think I missed anything.

20: Sebastian. I almost forgot he was still in the contest, really. He's just been keeping such a low profile. A bit too low to be ranked too high, but he's got potential. We just haven't seen much of it yet. He could very well be the main antagonist here... well, not counting Camille, but she's kinda' a different case.

19: Angel. The other Isaac. He does more than Isaac, physically at least, but I usually have trouble remembering him as more than "that guy who hangs out with Isaac. The recent chapter with him and Allison fearing for their lives together helps separate him, but he still needs more if he's going to move higher.

18: Paul. He's pretty funny when he goes into hyper righteous mode, or wearing a tent, though he kinda' fades into the background otherwise.

17: Allison. I liked her more after the last chapter, but for the most part, I just see her so desperately wanting to hate Avery with every fiber of her being. I know there's more to her than that, but that's just what stands out so much. I guess it's good for helping develop Avery and herself, but it doesn't necessarily help me like Allison more. She's pretty cool when she's not hatin' on Avery, anyway.

16: Cara. I like her. She just kinda' sinks into the background for me most of the time. She's been most enjoyable when being a complete dork with the music video, though she may start to shine now that she's learned about Camille....

15: Robert. Poor Robert. Seems so nice and sweet and happy, but doesn't know where he is half the time. Kinda' wonder if he was always like that... um, the nice and sweet and happy part, I mean.

14: Isaac. Isaac can be somewhat frightening when he gets angry. He's got a bit of a temper, but he mostly just seems so... not really caring. Though it's hard to tell exactly how he feels about Avery, but it does seem like some sort of Duncan and Courtney-esque relationship may be forming.

13: Ritsy. On one hand, she seems like the "perfect" contestant. Well, not really perfect, but maybe "closest to perfect." She's still got her prankster side to her. Either way, it makes her likable enough.

12: Minerva. She's fun, and hyper, and it's nice having a few characters who aren't straight.

11: Wes. A nice, likable guy, with bad sandwich luck. I like him, but he doesn't especially stand out. It's actually kinda' sad, but I can understand why Ophelia notices Victor, but not Wes: Victor's putting himself out there, while Wes is a lot more shy about his feelings. Poor guy.

10: Zack. The fun guy who's good with gadgets. And pranks. Almost not sure which he's more known for. Probably the gadgets, since Risty isn't so known for those. He was pretty entertaining, particularly with his Ritsy teamup. Not meant to last, though.

9: Elena. For all the hate Avery gets from her fellow contestants, Elena seems like a far more detestable person. It's a different selfishness, really. She's a largely unpleasant person, which makes her fun. And there's the blatantly homophobic side which makes her less fun. But I suppose that's part of who she is. And there's that whole loneliness thing: she feels alone, but she's too unpleasant for anyone to genuinely want to befriend her. It's sad.

8: Donna. The Gwen-like girl who's not as grumpy and mean as she seems to try to come across like. I like her well enough.

7: Monique. She actually reminds me a fair bit of Donna, but both friendlier and more snobbish. Odd combination, but I like it. She seems to get the best one-liners in the story, for what it's worth.

6: Gabe. Sorta' a combination of Noah mixed with Elena. He seems to act slightly nicer than Elena, though I'm not sure it's because he's actually nicer: I suspect it's more him actually understanding how to be nicer, and get along with others, but just usually choosing not to, whereas I'm not sure Elena really understands the concept.

5: Victor. Poor Wes. Aside from Ophelia paying a lot more attention to Victor, I like Victor more, too. He's not nicer than Wes, but he's just so full of himself in an endearing sort of way. I get this bad feeling he's going to be breaking Ophelia's heart eventually, and I may or may not like him less when I see Ophelia's reaction to such possible event, but whatever, for now, he's pretty funny and charming and a bit of a jerk. But not too much.

4: Irina. The sweet model who no one appreciates for who she is. Enough to feel bad for her, but she does have a habit of blending into the background much of the time. On the other hand, her recent role as Avery's friend--does Avery even know such a thing exists?--has pushed her up tremendously. I love the role for Irina, and her insight into Avery. She seems to understand Avery better than Avery understands herself. And how she relates to Avery, as someone who isn't given a chance to prove their worth. Even if their circumstances are completely different as to why they're not given a chance, she relates anyway, and it's really sweet of her.

3: Ophelia. Sweet, lovable Ophelia. Just so sweet, lovable, and innocent. Kinda' like with Camille, only for realsies. And with a crush, and it'll hurt if Victor doesn't like Ophelia like she likes him. And poor girl's also considered insane for some reason. She seems like she could be autistic maybe, but not insane. Anyway, love Ophelia!

2: Avery. Not especially sweet and lovable, but she's not the monster everyone thinks she is. She's just kinda' selfish. Or really selfish. She's not Elena, though. And she doesn't seem to entirely see how she's coming across to everyone else. She sees herself as a hard worker whose leadership other people desperately need. Everyone else sees her as a selfish witch who needs everthing to be about her, and that's not entirely untrue. She actually does seem to have everyone's best interests in mind, though, even if she does put her own interests first. And by golly, if everyone else is too stupid to see that it's for the best, then it's their problem, not hers. For all I know, the cheerleading squad really was terrible, and the chorus really was that bad, and she probably did wind up making things better on a technical level. But then no one likes her. It's really nice of Irina to help her, and good of her to see that she did go a bit too far with Robert. She's never going to be Cara-level sweetness, but she can show everyone that she's human.

1: Camille. Sweet, lovable Camille. Or should I say devious, threatening Camille? Or actually, devious, threatening Veronique? On one hand, it's too bad. Camille seemed like a sweet, though ditzy girl, though as time went on, she seemed to be a bit smarter than she was given credit for. And she was behaving suspiciously at times. And... she's a darn good actress, it turns out. Maybe she could've had a nice career in acting. Either way, she didn't seem to be prepared for someone actually finding her diamond, since she broke out of her own made-up character after Allison and Angel found that, and it just all went downhill from there. She turned out to be a jewel thief who seemed to want Allison and Angel dead, so she wasn't really all that sweet and nice after all, but she made for a splendid character.
