Yes, I know, this post is over a month late, but I’ve become only the third user on this wiki to reach an official edit count of 10,000. The previous two were Sprink, who reached 23K before his stories got deleted and has 14K even after that; and Reddy, who topped 10K long ago before falling back, and who would now have well over 20K if deleted edits counted.
I was going to wait and post this blog exactly on my 10,000th edit, like I’ve done with my previous milestone blogs, but something came up that couldn’t wait. Specifically, the Featured Character ballot had to be cleared for the new month, and I finally did so on 3 December because it didn’t look like any of the other admins were going to do it. In light of my reputation as the admin …

For those who are reading my TDI reimagining, The Legend of Total Drama Island, I have good news and bad news.
The bad news, which won’t actually affect readers who aren’t caught up, is that I won’t be able to make the scheduled 2 November posting date for Fourteenth Night. I simply have too many other things that have to be done at about the same time, so I’m postponing Fourteenth Night to Thanksgiving weekend . (Thanksgiving this year is on Thursday, 28 November for readers who don’t know U.S. holidays, so Fourteenth Night is rescheduled to Saturday the 30th.)
I’m hoping that I can subsequently get back on schedule and post Fifteenth Night on the weekend following New Year’s Day as originally planned, but I can’t make any promises. I’m get…

About six weeks ago, Sprinklemist—our best known and most prolific writer—broke a year of silence and stunned the wiki by requesting that all of his stories and their supplemental materials be deleted. For various reasons, this hasn’t been done yet, although it’s likely to happen soon.
One of these stories, Total Drama Reality, is on our home page’s story sampler, so it needs to be replaced. Even if the story doesn’t get deleted for a while yet, we cannot in good conscience defy Sprink’s wishes by continuing to publicize his work indefinitely on the wiki’s most visible page.
You may nominate stories in the comments section below. (No “joke” nominations, please.) The story we select should meet the following criteria:
- It should be of good quali…
In the last week, I hit three milestones at about the same time:
- 200K: Including notes, I have now written 200,000 words on The Legend of Total Drama Island. It’s still nowhere close to being finished, although every episode except #10 (the cooking challenge), #24 (the orienteering challenge) and #27 (TDDDDI) have finished scenes.
- 120K: With the posting of Eleventh Night last week, the word count of LTDI’s posted portion now exceeds the word count of Total Drama Island, by Gilbert and Sullivan, making it my largest page. (Wiki veterans may recall that TDI-G&S was the wiki’s longest page for quite some time). The main TDI-G&S page has about 115K words, plus about 3800 words (not counting verse duplication) in the character pages. Including not…
Four years ago today, Gigi's iconic story, Life After Lies (LAL) debuted on the wiki. Almost two years later, Gigi posted what in retrospect turned out to be the final chapter. Some six months after that, she abruptly pulled the plug and cancelled the last two chapters, citing the nasty tendency of life to get in the way. Chapter 18, with its climactic duel, thus became the final chapter.
Chapter 18 gets Heather and Noah out of immediate danger, but provides no real closure--in effect, ending the story with an industrial-grade sequel hook. Realizing this, and having no plans for a sequel, Gigi invited her readers to imagine their own ending to LAL. I did.
Gigi had been debating whether LAL should have a tragic ending or a bittersweet one. (A h…Read more >
