Overview[]

This has been on my mind for a long time and I thought I should get it out there. If I lived in Canada where only boys had won the first three seasons, I's think it was either a coincedince or they were being sexist...(thank god Heather won TDWT in the USA). However, TDRI was a good season...except for the fact that it was the most sexist season (I think).

1. The Final Two[]

T

Cameron vs

The most predictable final two ever.

he final two in all the past seasons were Boy vs. Girl:

Season 1: Gwen vs. Owen

Season 2: Beth vs.Duncan

Season 3: Heather vs. Alejandro

In TDRI however, the producers and writers felt it necessary to make the final two Boy vs. Boy. I would understand if they were trying to suprise us by straying away from the typical Boy vs. Girl. If that is the case, they should have made the final two Girl vs. Girl to make us suprised, as the fact that only boys had won the last three seasons already made us used to that. Hopefully, the next season we will have a girl winner.

2. The Girls of TDRI[]

Another thing that bugged me was that there were only six girls this season and three of them (*cough* Dakota, Anne Maria and Staci *cough* *cough*) were made to be eliminated fairly quick and weren't thoroughly analyzed.

This leaves Zoey, Jo and Dawn. Jo was another one that bugged me. Sure she played the game, but she was made to be hated by us. That left Dawn and Zoey, who are basically my only favorite characters in TDRI. (Too bad Dawn was eliminated early).

Also, since there were only six girls, (three of which were the only real players) and seven boys, it was as if the producers were ensuring that the final two would be Boy vs. Boy no matter the final elimination order.

However, some of the boys weren't throughly analyzed as well, such as Sam and Lightning  (in my opinion).

3. The Merge[]

The merge bugged me too. This season, there were only two girls that had made merge...and neither won invincibility. Even though Jo was very strong and Zoey was a good player, they never won invincibility. That may have been a first, but it shouldn't have happened anyway.

Also, the final four was not even this season. It was three boys and one girl...I think that was a bit much. This kind of ensured that somehow Zoey would be eliminated fairly quickly (if someone thought that all the boys would ally).

4. That's it...I think[]

If you think I am looking too much, feel free to say so. Until then, this was my little rant on the sexist fourth season of Total Drama.
