9 years ago today I joined this wiki. 5 days prior I finished my first competition fanfiction.

To celebrate, here’s a meme I made.
I’m actually amazed I finished this fic. I started Genesis on October 15, 2015. That was almost four years ago. I was still in high school and now I’m about to graduate college. I finished a competition fic, though there was a lot that lead me to it (What The Heck walked so Genesis could run).
I’m feeling really proud. Genesis isn’t perfect, some people may even prefer older fics, but it is done, it exists, and it has a lot I enjoy it. I’m going to dwell on thd positive.
Thank you to everyone who read Genesis and a special thank you to anyone who has ever commented, made rankings or supported Genesis in any fashion. It was extremely motivating and just made my day when I saw it.
A special shout-out to Gideon, Toad and Zac who were readers from the start and finished out with me. Hope you guys enjoyed the ride, you definitely had a huge influence on Genesis. Your feedback made it a better story. Overall, writing this story made me a better writer.
So... now what?
I’m going to write another one. Duh.
Really though, I have experience of finishing one and I feel like I’ve grown as a writer from high school to now. I have a better idea of what worked and what didn’t, along with new ideas.
If you are reading or have the Genesis finale please share your thoughts with me. Doesn’t have to be long, but I’d love to know what you thought of it and Genesis overall (I’m always interested in people’s favorites, what they liked best or worked best for them).
If you haven’t read Genesis or are behind, please read! Let me know what you think. I am interested in seeing what people get out of it and that can still inspire me. Of course, when I do start the new fic I hope you’ll try to jump on it.
It's been a tradition on the wiki to have a 'reunion special' chapter. Basically, a few months after the finale the characters meet up again. Readers can directly ask questions to the characters. A sort of bonus chapter. If there is interest in one for Genesis, I'd be happy to do one. Hit me up with questions for the cast, silly or serious.
Towards the end of 2019, I tried to clean up a few chapters. I want to go through and make sure formatting is better and grammar is improved for each chapter, so that’s one goal going forward. More reason to read if you haven’t. I also need to update character pages.
I really want to do a Let’s Talk about the series similar to what Zac has done for Frozen, Tides and Eclipse. It’ll be interesting to reflect on these characters. There are still some comments and rankings I want to catch up on too!
I probably won’t officially start the new story just yet. But, I know can’t resist teasing it (I actually already have). I'll make a page for it soon. So look forward to that.
