Hi, welcome to Total Drama Island Fanfiction wikia! Thanks for your edit to the User:Tdiandrockmusic2 page.
Don't worry about lack of comments on your story. There were a few weeks when no one commented on mine, but it still seems like people read even though they don't comment. It's been pretty slow here lately, but it's been picking up. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 22:01, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, what can I say. I get Lindsay moments. And I'm not blonde. And I'm a guy. Pathetic huh.--Tdiandrockmusic2 13:25, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Hey--Tdiandrockmusic2 13:48, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
I'll check it out. I hope you reconsider canceling Fake Souls. Even if you think it's predictable, it's still fun. (I really, really hope I didn't kill it...) SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 23:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
You did not kill it! Though you're totally psychicTdiandrockmusic2 23:11, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Your welcome.--Tdiandrockmusic2 19:29, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
If you want, you can use it.--Tdiandrockmusic2 14:46, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Could I help with Fake Souls? User:ForeverTrevor
Thank you! Uh...I don't know. I kinda think I'm too young to really be good. Maybe being 14 and actually being impressive is a little much for me to wrap my mind around. xD I sing the song of the fading silver star...
Aww, thanks! Twelve? Wow. Well, maybe after I hone my skills a bit and possibly take a few classes, which I have yet to do because I'm lazy, I'll try writing some of these book plots that I can't get out of my head. Thanks for the encouragement! I sing the song of the fading silver star...
I read your friend list thing, thanks for adding me! I want you to know... That Owen is also my least favorite character on TDI. *shudders* SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 03:13, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
I know, he's fat, thinks of his stomach rather than the challenge, AND STILL WON!!! Owen only won in order to be a tribute to the winner of the first season of Survivor. Tdiandrockmusic2 13:26, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
We should go on the Fanclub wiki and make an Owen Haters Club. (Take that Courtney haters!) Tdiandrockmusic2 13:27, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Really? How exciting! Thank you so much! I'm sure it won't stink, too! No matter what it looks like, I'll still shower my love upon it! Yay! I can't wait! (Could you give me a teeny hint to what it looks like? Pleeeeaaaase?) I sing the song of the fading silver star...
Okay, that's fine! No worries. Suggestion: how about you take a picture of it and just upload the picture to your computer if you have a camera? That's what I used to do when I didn't have access to a scanner. If you can't, it's still totally okay. I understand :) I sing the song of the fading silver star...
Hey, Harold and Ezekiel pwn and we all know it. Ezekiel ain't sexist anymore, and Harold didn't do it because of Courtney, he did it because of Duncan.-- God, save the queen! She ain't no human being! The're ain't no future! 20:23, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Aww, that sucks, but don't worry about it. I still appreciate the effort, regardless! Just...uh...describe it to me in detail. xD Hope you find the camera! I sing the song of the fading silver star...
No problem! It was awesome! I think that would be cool for you to do a second chapter. Also, its almost done, I just have this one little moment left to write and I'm about to go work on it now, so it shouldn't be too much longer. I'll make a blog post when I'm done with it, okay? Thanks for asking! -- I sing the song of the fading silver star...
YO! XD Oh yeah! I meant to ask you! Could you prehaps let me do Chris for Fake Souls? I had a really good idea. If you want to do it though, it's fine; it's your story after all! XD Sunshine + Ravioli 16:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Really? I'd be honored! Problem is, time is not on my side right now and I still need to muster up some mojo (which I seem to be lacking right now...) for LAL. I'm really sorry, but if you want, you could write the story and I'll help you proofread it and add some stuff in! -- I sing the song of the fading silver star...
I have so much planned right now, that I want to focus on it. Maybe I'll help after TDAuthor3 is over. Do you still want me to add my original characters? SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 23:53, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Well...since I'm starting to get back into the school mode, I'm considering putting it on hiatus for a little while... I barely have two pages done, and I think I might need to get settled and get everything in my life back in check before I focus on LAL again. I will be completing it little by little when I have the time and energy, though, so keep your head up! Funny, I was beginning to think I'd lost all of my readers' interest again! Thanks for inquiring. :)I sing the song of the fading silver star...
Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah, this is my first fan fiction, but I am working with Copper Five on It, so I am sure that this should be a sucess! I'll keep you updated on it's status if you're interested!--CrashMan 85 23:30, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
I never commented on the pic you sent me (like two months ago). Sorry, I didn't realize you sent it to me, until, like, two days ago. I thought you did a really good job on it. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 21:42, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
Yay! I haven't lost my number one fan yet! :D Aww, thanks. I've missed all of you guys! Also, I read your story on TDA3. How sad! I feel really sorry for Courtney. Nice pairing pick! I've never thought of Courtney/Noah before, but it could actually work in certain situations, like the one you created. I'm glad Heather's nice in this one, too. Heh, reading how much you believe in me and my writing makes me want to crank out some more LAL! Thanks for everything, you're really the one who's given me the willpower to keep writing! (Wow...that sounded really cheesy, huh? XD) (By the way, I'm totally rooting for you in TDA3. Good luck!) -- I sing the song of the fading silver star...
Sunshine has to get her reviews done. I'm not an admin, so I can't get into the page to do all the reviews, I'm not sure if I would have time to, and I'm kind of just Sunshine's helper. I come up with challenges and take the load off of reviewing everything, but we do decide what team is in the bottom, and who goes home, together... SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 23:13, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
Errgh...uh...well, I'm working on it. Had a busy weekend and stuff. But I AM constantly thinking about it and its (possible) sequel(s). I know. I'm sorry you have to put up with me and my bad schedule. xD As for a new drawing within a week thing...uh...I don't know? xD I'll try! -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 01:40, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
Um, how about just my talk page, and then I'll use them for the cover art? I never thought of putting them in LAL itself, but I will if you want me to! -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 21:33, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
That's cool! I'll read it when I get some time. As for the Chapter 1 art, how about Heather sitting in front of an old looking TV in a dark metal room, looking down at her death certificate in her hands? And I have seen the TDtM trailer. I'm glad Noah and Cody are back, and that Heather's hair has grown back some. xD -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 18:02, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
Okay. I felt bad that I had no reviews. T_T That was probably why. Maybe. I changed it to enable anonymous comments. Thanks so much for telling me that. I'm not sure if my story is as good as others on that site, though. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 02:32, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
I hear what your saying about the picture being out of scale but if I made them all the same size then (1) they wouldn't all fit and (2) they'd be covering eachother. --Totaldramawhatnot 20:00, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the warm welcome :3 I'll keep that in mind if I have any questions. NightxOwl
Thanks for the information. XD I really hate being a noob, you know? Feels so weird. Anywho. Like I said, it was really good! I've actually been having trouble with getting one of my stories on here. May I ask you a question? How do you get the table of contents on a page?
This may sound stupid but, what's a character page? -User:KoopaKidJr.
That was actually an accident, as I was being booted off of the comp. But thank you for the advice! --What is this i dont even 16:59, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Hi! Thanks for reviewing R&E over at ff.net (I'm all for the abreviations today, it seems). Friendage? :) --CamperThirteen 02:39, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Cool! *adds to friends list* --CamperThirteen 19:57, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Hmm...I don't know, really. I'm still debating on whether to extend it a bit or just cut it short. I actually just realized that this would be an opportunity for some development. Just a little. xD I know you guys are probably fed up with me, and I'm really sorry I take such a long time! I'm constantly scratching out and adding in things as I write so it takes a while. I'll have it up as soon as humanly possible! I promise!-- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 22:50, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Like you said, it's your story, so you call the shots. If you want it to be a collab between a few people I'm game, and if you want to write it all by yourself I'm good as well. I do agree with the whole discussing-the-plot-before-writing thing, though I believe we should do that via PM or something, rather than in public messages like this one. (Man, that came out so formal and business-like xD) --CamperThirteen 14:22, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
I mean private messagging. XD --CamperThirteen 17:54, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
I would love to. You have an account at fanfiction.net, right? Maybe we could private message, there? Again, I don't want to override the ideas you have. But your concept was very inspiring (we're talking about the tragic plane one, right?). SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 18:05, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
If you want to join there. I don't think this wiki has a PM option. I'm not very e-mail oriented. I only check it about once a month. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 18:14, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
I thought of who would be most effective dying, in my mind. I wonder how our ideas differ. We'll probably go with your idea, but I will still run my ideas by you, just so you can get a picture of how everything would be effected in the long run. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 18:48, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, forgot this thing has no Private Messagging like forums do. I like Sprinkle's idea to PM each other on ff.net, why don't you sign up there? --CamperThirteen 20:06, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
I have to ask (sorry) what you think of the pic I made you? Love it or hate it? (I'll admit it's different, but I have reasons for everything in the pic) SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 23:59, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
I guess I figured it required explanation, it's fairly abstract. The encroaching blackness is the sadness/anger he feels in the moment. It's obscuring everything going on in the background so his only focus is the black casket. *waits eagerly for your message* SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 01:11, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
I know, the whole three-day waiting period sucks :( Anyway, I'll wait for your PM 'til then. --CamperThirteen 01:29, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Not very good so far. I'm sick, so it might take longer than I expected. As soon as I have something worth publishing I'll send it to ya. Sorry! --CamperThirteen 22:19, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Well, at least I had a full night's sleep now. I tried to listen to the song, but YouTube isn't working for some reason, so I gave up and read the lyrics. You're right, it's beautiful! It actually made me think of two other possible titles: Voices from the Past, and An Endless Journey. Or something. --CamperThirteen 21:54, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
OK then :). I've written the scenes where Duncan & Courtney, Geoff & Bridgette, Cody, and Gwen & Trent get the letters. And yes, Duncan/Noah is scarring, but where did that come from? XD --CamperThirteen 22:30, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
Really? Weird. It was probably due to the special. --CamperThirteen 22:37, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
I'm really sorry, TDI, something came up today and I couldn't finish it :(. I could send you what I have so far, though. --CamperThirteen 23:43, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
I sent you a message on ff.net about that. I can send you the chapter there, but it's explained on the PM. --CamperThirteen 21:09, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Message sent. Over. XD --CamperThirteen 21:18, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
What sanity? xD --CamperThirteen 21:47, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Just once? Trust me, that's nothing compared to me. Anyhow, you're supposed to write chapter two while I finish this one XD --CamperThirteen 22:19, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
I'm ending it when they're all on the planes. Do you want me to send you a list with who's on what plane and sitting next to whom? --CamperThirteen 22:51, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Okay, great. It will probably be done before chapter one. But what I've seen of the first chapter is great. I'm going to try to wait and see your chapters in order start my thinking process on it, but I already have some really good ideas (in my opinion) for it. Thanks for your review on my first chapter! Feel free to review chapter 2! P.S. I don't right in script format because I don't think it's proper for a story, but for a play it's proper. I'm new, so I'm just doing what I learned in writing class! LOL!

I'll think about it. I've already told some people that I was unwilling to do their characters, but since you don't have too many, it shouldn't be a huge chore. SprinklemistSend me a message.Or not... 00:45, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
I guess that is quite a few... Hmm... I really would like to do it, but because I promised to do others pics, I've had to take it slow on my own pics. I'm creating a sub-thingy for everything ATG-related XD. I think we could post it both here and on fanfiction.net. I'm busy with some Philosophy essays and writing non-TDA stuff, so I'm not really doing anything with fanfic at the moment. I have a bit of writer's block there. :( Anyway, I'm up for anything. :D --CamperThirteen 18:08, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Oh, sorry! And no, the song's definitely not bad! Thanks for giving me another possible candidate! I'm still leaning toward Arrival to Earth, thought, but there are lots of other songs to consider. I'm constantly thinking about it, so I'll probably decide on one soon! :) -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 21:58, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
Aw, thanks! Well, I say write whichever one you feel more passionate about, or whichever one is easier to envision. Hope that makes sense. With LAL, I have lots of ideas, but in the end I usually go with the ones that I'm more excited to write about. Then all I need to do is just make sure they work with the rest of the story and whether it's believable or not. It's harder than it sounds. xD -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 20:53, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
Only until tomorrow. As per always, I have to study. But yeah, I have in fact successfully uploaded the second chapter on ff.net, and I look forward to Sprink's. Over. I'll go back to being deadz now. @__@ --CamperThirteen 06:55, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Um, okay then. I guess that sounds good. You make the blog post, please, since you're the one who came up with the idea. xD So that's,
- Arrival to Earth - Steve Jablonsky
- Hopeless - Breaking Benjamin
- Collide - Skillet
- I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin
- Rebirthing - Skillet (I showed you this one, right? And Live Free or Let Me Die? I don't want more than two songs from one band.)
- Clear the Area - Imogen Heap
What's PDA again? xD And yeah, I guess Well Thought Out Twinkles would make a good edition. Also, a video? I thought you just wanted to make a blog post about it listing the songs. -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 00:57, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Sure. That one can go in. You really don't have to make a video. Only if you want. I think I would prefer a blog post, though, since it would be easier and stuff. -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 01:13, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
I'm there. And ATG is going well. Might take a while, though. Sorry! --CamperThirteen 20:31, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know about Emmy. I hope she's alright, and just really busy. As for the story, it's your call. We couldn't post the story until she returns on ff.net, really. My ideas are still fresh in my mind, and we can discuss it on ff.net as to who goes next, and what I/you would like covered. But it's your call as to how you want to move forward. Since you like "Legacy" so far, it may interest you to know that I also have a one-shot that's nearly done. 'Ello there, Tdirm! I have need of your expertise! (Meaning, I need information related to music. XD) In the upcoming chapter of TSI (talent show!!! :D), Mina finally gets to sing. Problem is, I don't know what I should have her sing. I was hoping something sweet, peppy, energetic... something Chef would hate. XD I figured you would be the best person to ask about this, considering your near-encyclopedic knowledge of music, especially in comparison to my only knowing some stuff from video games, the occasional Paramore/Coldplay song, and Caramelldansen. XD Any ideas? Thank you in advance!!! --Sunshineandravioli- Legendary Pixie! RAVIOLI EVERYWHERE! 17:22, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice! I shall now look up stuff by the Go-Gos! ^^ (PS: Caramelldansen is a song by the Swedish group Caramell. It's become immersed in popular culture thanks to a cute little video of two anime characters doing what is now the Caramelldansen dance. Now you can find videos on virtually every subject with the characters caramelldansen. There's a TDI one somewhere. XD) --Sunshineandravioli- Legendary Pixie! I know, but I really want to get chapters up... ><;; I can quite honestly tell you that the reactions I was getting upon posting weekly chapters the past few weeks goes right up there on my list of happiest wiki-moments (alongside winning TDA2 and having my first-ever story praised by Nalyd mere days after joining the wiki). I've been thinking about getting a FF.net account, but I probably won't, as big websites like that intimidate me. O___O If I do end up getting an account, though, I'll be sure to let y'all know. :)
BTW, with your advice, I chose "We Got the Beat" by the Go Go's for Mina to sing in the upcoming TSI chapter. ^^ --Sunshineandravioli- Legendary Pixie! RAVIOLI EVERYWHERE! 17:08, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
I just liked "We Got the Beat" for whatever reason... XD IDK, I'll think about it. Right now I think I'm gonna stick with the wiki, but who knows what the future will bring! :) --Sunshineandravioli- Legendary Pixie! RAVIOLI EVERYWHERE! 18:17, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
TDIRM, I have read Back to Good and ATG, among other works of yours. Between my reactions to those stories, and your reaction to mine, I would say that we seem to have similar tastes in such things. I have set up a Friends list on my user page, if you would like to add yourself to it. I would also be happy to go onto your Friends list, if you will have me. Gideoncrawle Sing me your song, O! Yes, I am planning to bring TDI-G&S (commonly pronounced "Tiddigus") to the wiki, starting this spring sometime. It's almost done, but it was originally intended for a general interest website, as opposed to a fanfic site. It uses a lot of specialized formatting that the wiki either doesn't support or supports halfheartedly, so porting it to the wiki is going to be a lot of work. As for Courtney finally winning, I'm afraid I must disappoint you, because TDI-G&S isn't a reimagining in the sense you mean. Indeed, it's not a true "fanfic" in that it doesn't have an original plot. Instead, it retells the canon story arc, using 8,000 lines of G&S verse, with an average of 32 verse references per episode. Unlike most projects of this type, which entail setting new lyrics to Sullivan's tunes, I have repurposed Gilbert's original lyrics, and I think you'll be amazed at how well some of those verses fit--it's all about universal themes. Consider, for example, the song I linked to in "Legacy". In that story, Trent set new lyrics to the tune. In TDI-G&S, I use the original lyrics for an incident in TDDDDI, and as Bridgette's theme song. Gideoncrawle Sing me your song, O! A wandering minstrel, I 03:17, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
I actually think it's coming along okay! I've been working on it every day and currently have 13 pages done. I'm working on it right now, so don't worry! It'll be done in a little while. :) -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 19:32, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your support of Legacy, both on the story's discussion page and on the Featured Story forum. I don't have enough edits to vote yet; but if I reach the threshhold during this voting cycle, I can assure you that Back to Good will have a vote from me. (I liked Violet Hill well enough, but it's not in the same class as BTG.) On a related note, you mentioned that you couldn't really understand why people like your "undetailed" writing. I've only had time so far to read your short pieces, but I have two comments: (1) your better stories aren't as "undetailed" as you seem to think they are; and (2) there's nothing inherently wrong with a "just the facts" style. I like that idea. I have a "witch hunt" girl planned, and to me that seems semi similar, but I might not go with her as she may be a little touchy to some people. I'll try to think up some storylines for the Victorian girl, and see if I get anything. SprinklemistCyan is the new green. 03:09, March 7, 2010 (UTC)
I can't say with any certainty that "magnum opus" mustn't be used to imply only quality, only that such usage isn't common. The term more commonly implies size, and most commonly implies both. It especially tends to mean an author's greatest achievement; and, given our cultural fondness for big things, that will naturally tend to imply something expansive.
On a completely unrelated note, Gigi and Shane have asked me for tips on writing style; so when I get some time (sometime in the next few weeks, probably) I will be hosting a discussion of the topic on my blog page. If you want to participate, whether to learn tips or to offer tips or both, you are welcome to do so. The more, the merrier. I have warned my Grasshoppers, though (yes, I'm dating myself with that reference), that I claim no special expertise in the field--I have never written professionally, nor aspired to, and I'm no English teacher. Furthermore, so much of my style is (or has become) second nature to me that trying to explain it is rather like trying to explain the sky, so I expect the discussion to be driven largely by questions and examples. Thanks you so much for reading and commenting on Total Drama the New Challenge! That means a lot to me. Now, about the staff thing, I'll admit it was unrealistic. The only reason I wrote it was because the characters creator wanted it this way. If you found it creepy, I'm sorry, but you'll be pleased to know that the talking staff doesn't appear in episode 3. Thanks again! UltimateTORINOR 14:55, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Hey, tdirm. I hope you're not too upset about the Chris Yancy comment thing. If you really were upset about it, I would gladly take it out. That kind of thing isn't an indication of where the story as headed, and it's about as lewd as it will get (keep in mind this is a PG-13 story) . When you are ready to post your Writer's Workshop, I have a couple of suggestions: First, I would suggest titling it something like "Writer's Workshop: Narrative Description Techniques" so people know that (a) it's part of the Writer's Workshop series, and (b) it's focus is readily apparent. (Calling it "Description Workshop" or "Writer's Workshop: Description", for example, would be a little ambiguous--it might not be readily apparent what you are going to describe.) Second, I suggest including a section for links to other Workshops. (I didn't originally have such a section in mine, but added it after Sprink posted his Workshop.) That way, as more Workshops are held, we can easily update these sections so that every Workshop has links to every other. In my Workshop, this section bears the uncreative title, "Other Workshops in this Series". Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! I don't know about you, but I find it disappointing that your Workshop hasn't generated more interest. When I linked to it, I mentioned it in the Edit Summary, so anyone who is still following my Workshop page should now be aware of yours. The Visit counter shows 29 total views, so some people are reading it, even if they're not commenting. In any case, I am still working on my supplemental commentary (it's rather lengthy, which I'm sure doesn't surpise you) but I'll definitely post on Friday. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! One reason my Workshop (now with almost 250 views) was so well-attended was that I had advertised it heavily. (Yes, I know. Bad me.) One thing I found disappointing was that, although there was a decent number of comments, most were just "U the man"-type accolades. Only a handful (Sprink, Emmy, Gigi) actually tried to add to my "keynote speech". As for your Workshop, I see that it's up to 38 views, so people ARE reading it, even if they aren't commenting. I am putting the finishing touches on my supplemental commentary, and plan to post it this evening when (with any luck) a lot of people will see it on the Activity Feed. I've been meaning to mention this for some time, but I have a suggestion for a change to Back To Good. In the paragraph that begins, "No… I guess not Princess. Still, if you change your mind…" I noticed that the first half of the paragraph has its narrative in present tense, whereas the rest of the story's narrative is in past tense. Maybe you wanted it that way, but my first guess was that the present-tense narrative was an "artifact" left over from an earlier draft of the story. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! There's no need to apologize for never liking TDT. I realized from the start that it was darker than my previous stories, so I knew it wouldn't be in everyone's taste. It just has a message I feel strong about, ao I kind of felt I had to get it out there. While there are some dark elements to Total Drama Wilderness, as I can't do a story without it having some meaning, I hope to make it far lighter than TDT, at least. I hope you read that story, and I hope you enjoy it this time. SprinklemistCyan is the new green. 13:27, June 14, 2010 (UTC)
I misremembered the previous total, so Legacy didn't have 100 view yesterday, after all--it actually had 90. That's still a lot, though. Ooooh, that song's really good! I love the lyrics. I'll add it ASAP! :D Also, I was thinking about adding What Lies Beneath and Give Me a Sign by Breaking Benjamin (that's gonna make a lot of Breaking Benjamin songs...I actually all of the songs on their new album Dear Agony fit LAL); What I've Done by Linkin Park (I only realized recently how well this song fit Heather); and Would it Matter by Skillet (that song also fits Heather, at least in this story). What do you think? Also, spoiler time! This might not happen in the next chapter or even the one after it, but I see lots of pain in the near future. Maybe even death? I dunno...one death? Multiple deaths? Also, and this is just a small one, I paid a visit to Borders the other day and found a book on poisons that I took a few notes from.... *shrug* And that's all I can say. What do you think? Are they good spoilers? Or are they really lame? xD -- I sing the song of the fading silver star... 21:26, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
*makes new heading for the heck of it*
Is this story idea okay?
Hi! I'm the non-member writer that wrote Shattered Inside and I just thought since your an incredible writer and that you have good taste in stories, do you like this new story idea I just thought of? It's a fantasy-romance-slasher fic called In Your Arms and it's really a SierraxCody story.
Okay, I know I love to give out summaries about the story to make people wonder what'll happen, but I'll just go through a short breakdown:
The Evil 8 (Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Leprechaun, Candyman, Pinhead, Gingerdead, and Jigsaw.) are a murder group that cause about 600 murders by every hour. Soon, they decide to start slashing celebrities and choose the Total Drama crew as bait. While Sierra and Cody go through their last challenge in the final season, they find out at the finish line that Chris and the gang were kidnapped and have to go on another journey to find them and battle The Evil 8. While endurance and action will come, a little romance will be expected too.
So, do you like it?
Six hundred? Good lord, that's a lot of people, and it may be too much. If you can possibly tone it dow to one murderer, preferably not from a pre-existing horror film, then it could be an exciting story.I love you when you dance when you're freestyling trance So pure such an expression 17:36, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry. :( I know I can go a little over-the-top when it comes to stories..... Okay, okay, I'm like a Lady GaGa when is comes to being an author cause when I take it too seriously, I go crazy, but that's why I came to you first. I mean, you're the author of Violet Hill, the most exciting fanfiction on this website and the reason I'm even writing! You have taste, and that's why I came to you because, I don't wanna scare people and make them think that I'm some morbid maniac that loves slasher stuff, cause that's not who I am. I'm just a fangirl who appreciates both Total Drama and writing stories. So, yeah, maybe instead of "The Evil 8", I can use like this father who's a secret murder and his wife soon finds out (not like Chucky and Tiffany).
But, another thing, are you comfortable with like the SierraxCody thing? I mean, I don't know if you like that idea, and I'd understand because Sierra is a complete stalker and Cody tried to vote her off. At first, I didn't really like this couple idea, but then I heard this Kelly Clarkson song called My Life Would Suck Without You and I thought that it matched them perfectly. So then, I thought, OMG, I just have to create a story! So, are you okay with that? And with this story, it's adult Cody's POV and he's remembering how he and Sierra came this far and even though the story is really about fighting against a murderer, when they're doing the final challenge for a million, they have like this mini-adventure and then when they get to the real problem, the murderer also picks up a spell book and made this path to find him a fantasy path, and that makes it even harder. So yeah, that's gonna be like the revised story and I bet I'll be done before the next new World Tour episode, so maybe if you look up In Your Arms on Sunday, it'll probably be done (PS, if you like it, leave a comment in the discussion page and inform other members about it! Okay, C U until then!)
Hey, I finished the In Your Arms story, so, can you please check it out, leave something in the discussion page, and tell other members about this story?

I require instruction, if you would be so kind. How do you link to YouTube videos so that the miniscreen appears on the story page? (I figure you're a good person to ask, since you set up the playlist links on the LAL talk page.) In Courtney and the Violin of Despair, I want to put in videos for the musical pieces that are central to this week's and next week's chapters. A technical note on Winds of Change: The section where you define terms is properly called a Glossary, rather than a Dictionary. Yes, I'll take a look at it for you, but be aware that it might take me a while. (I spent three weeks on chapter 18 of LAL.) My wiki account is set up to receive e-mail from other users, so you can send it to me that way. A word to the wise, though: don't get discouraged if it looks like I'm tearing your chapter apart. The process will be similar to what I've done with Spenny on his Pokemon story and Gigi on LAL, i.e. I will mostly be suggesting ways to improve phrasing and word choice without changing the essential character of your writing style. After all, WoC is your story, not mine. The way I see it, if the reader can't tell what's yours and what's mine, then I've done my job.
Even with this limited role, however, there is the possibility that my commentary might be extensive (with LAL, I gave 7500 words of commentary on a 5300 word chapter) because I see this as an opportunity to teach, so I will usually explain my suggested revisions. (I won't call them "corrections", because some of them are likely to be pretty subjective.). Likewise, I don't simply make the changes because, with many of my suggestions being matters of opinion as much as anything, there is every possibility that you may choose to incorporate some of my suggestions but not others. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! A wandering minstrel, I-- 02:53, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
I am aware of two ways to send e-mails to other wikians. The simplest way is to switch to the Monobook skin (the late, lamented Monaco skin also had this feature) and go to the User page or Talk page of the person you want to contact. If said person has set up his or her account to accept e-mail from other users, the "Toolbox" links on the left side of the page will include an option to "e-mail this user".
To e-mail someone under the new skin, type Special:EmailUser/username (not case sensitive) in the search bar, where "username" is the wiki name of the intended recipient. If you try to e-mail someone who doesn't have e-mail reception enabled, you'll get a message to that effect. This method doesn't tell you in advance who has e-mail reception enabled and who doesn't, so I recommend going through the Monobook skin if you have any doubt.
A word to the wise: when you e-mail me by either of these methods, I will see your username, not your real name, although I will see your e-mail address. If you contact me directly, though (e.g. if I reply to your initial message and you answer using the "reply" button) I will see your full real name, or at least whatever name you used to register your e-mail account. If you have a problem with that for any reason, you'll have to be sure to send all your e-mail correspondence through Wikia. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! Oh, and as for LAL, maybe it's just me going into fanfic vacation mode now that the story's SO CLOSE to being over. Hi, TDIRM! I was just wondering, since you left a message on Kynt's talk, if you were planning on reading my story? It's okay if not, as others have told me they're planning on reading and whatnot, but I was just wondin'. :p By the way, I hope to have a little critique done on chapter 1 of WoC hopefully by late this week/early next week. ^^ --Spotted at the hottest shows, interview on Charlie Rose, they all want a piece of you! 11:16, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, okay. I did write Totally Top Writer, but that was over a year ago, and I don't have any plans to write anything in the near future. Dark clouds all around, lightning rain is pouring down! 23:04, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
I have your WoC chapter. As I noted before, I'm going to try to not be so nitpicky this time, for the sake of getting it back to you in a timely manner. (Besides, my ultra-thorough critique of chapter 2 gave you a lot of things to be aware of in later chapters.) On an unrelated note, I have posted my FS "acceptance speech" blog, in case you had any interest. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! I have read the chapter, but I haven't done any editing yet. This is the same thing I did with chapter 2--the first time I read it, I didn't see all that many places to suggest revisions; but after setting it aside for a few days, I saw many more places to suggest revisions when I read it a second time. I suspect that my subconscious was studying it in the interim. That happened a LOT whilst I was compiling TDI-G&S, and is a major reason why that work wound up being as extensive as it is. Funny you should ask, because I was just about to contact you on that matter. Yes, I've started the chapter 3 markup. I wasn't able to get to it last weekend, as I had hoped, but I was able to do do 2+ pages (out of 9) on my bus commutes over the last 3 days. Today, I start a 5-day weekend with no specific plans, so I should be able to get it done. If that turns out to be the case, I'll probably send you everything at once. Since this month seems to be your best chance to date of winning FU, we'll definitely want to get chapter 3 posted before the voting ends.
One thing you can do in the meantime, though, is to put spacer lines between your paragraphs. I explained the need for this in some detail on the talk page for Lilac's story. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! A wandering minstrel, I-- 20:44, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, pasting text into WYSIWYG mode (i.e. the rich text editor) used to introduce an extra line between double-spaced paragraphs, but that was before the RT editor started putting all that extraneous formatting information onto every...bloody...paragraph. (It also does this with headers, so if you paste in headers, you have to strip out the formatting before the headers will display properly.) Pasting text in Source mode (including Monobook, which only supports Source mode) doesn't introduce the extra formatting; but Source mode and WYSIWYG mode handle blank lines and line breaks differently, as I explained to Liliac. That's why pasting single-spaced paragraphs in Source mode will display in WYSIWYG mode as a Wall of Text. (Note, however, that in this case you'll still see the paragraph breaks if you edit using Source mode.) As for why the wiki makes pasting text so hard, I have no answer. Can you help me?
So, I wrote a one-shot (I won't provide further info 'cause I don't want it to sound like advertising). I am asking you this because you have written this wiki's most classic one-shot: how do you advertise a one-shot? I mean, people won't notice it on Recent Activity because it will hardly have more than two revisions. There won't be pics to nominate for FI. It's too short to be worth a blog post. So how did you get VH to be so popular? Did it just happen or did you advertise it someway? You seem to be the best person for me to ask it, since you appeared to be as much of a newbie as I am when you wrote it. I saw your request to Sprink to have your stories categorized. You can do that yourself, you know, since it doesn't require admin powers. In fact, we encourage people to categorize their own stories, since it means less work for us. Gideoncrawle I have a song to sing, O! Sing me your song, O! I know you're not one of my actual subscribers, but I thought this was worth making an exception for in light of your involvement with Life After Lies. When Gigi pulled the plug on LAL, she invited her readers to imagine their own endings. I did. I posted the result on my blog page yesterday, although I actually wrote it about 18 months ago. Long story, but that's not important right now. What's important is that Gigi loved my ending chapter so much that she's declared it to be LAL's official ending.
